In-Heat Wheat

So over the weekend I enjoyed the last Flying Dog In-Heat Wheat in my gift pack I received for Christmas.   3 others remain, one of which I’m enjoying right now.

I think of wheat beers as something that would probably be enjoyed better in warmer weather.  But I ain’t seen none of that for a while.  The Flying Dog version is like most wheats I’ve had.  Nothing really jumped out at me, but it was good and refreshing.  I wouldn’t turn one down.  Hefeweizen’s are distinct in that they have a clove and banana flavor twist.  I’ve not really been able to really get much of that flavor from bottled beers.  Draft is the best way to enjoy a hefeweizen.
